Why did you choose to go to Warsaw, Poland?

Because I was looking for a place where I could take my classes in English, a country that have history and affordable prices.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I was in Warsaw for 5 months and the money I received was around 120 € per month for the EU and 100 € per month from my country.

What is the student lifestyle like in Warsaw?

You have to work day by day in class but when you finish you can discover the city and party all night.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Warsaw to other students?

Of course, I don't have any doubt that I would repeat if I could.

What is the food like?

Lots of pierogis, croquettes and pork. Very good. And the desserts are incredible.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Warsaw?

More or less... I find my accommodation in 5 days but I have to use a company to search the best for me.

How much does it cost to live in Warsaw?

Not too much, I think that almost like in Spain. The most expensive was the accommodation, but I was staying in Śródmieście.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available in the University?

The language is very difficult. You may use four or five words to defend yourself outside home. At the university the courses were available but I didn't have enough time to take the classes.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Warsaw from your city?

By bus... but I think is very uncomfortable and takes lots of time. So by plane is the best choice.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Warsaw?

If you are a Erasmus student it doesn't matter which day of the week you wanna go out. Every day has its unique place. The first week you are there you know where you have to go. If I have to recommend a place I would choose Klub Park or Opera.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Warsaw?

The place where you can eat typical polish food is Zapiezek. Another one is U Szwejka (you must go with plenty of friends to finish the food), but the best place for me is Manekin... just amazing.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The old town and Łazienki Park is a must. You can go up to the PKIN and see above Warsaw.

Is there any other advice that you could give to future students who are going to Warsaw?

Enjoy and make your own adventure.
