Why did you choose to go to Warsaw, Poland?

I choose Warsaw after meeting great people that came for exchange at my home university in Mexico. I wanted to experience personally Europe from a different perspective.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

1 year

What is the student lifestyle like in Warsaw?

The student life like in Warsaw is one of the best in my experience. After studying in Germany and Spain thanks to my degree i can come to the conclusion that student life in Warsaw is far more enriching in the professional and human terms.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Warsaw to other students?

I would definitely recommend the city of Warsaw, theres always something new coming.

What is the food like?

Food is abundant, good and cheap. Polish culture are very proud of their cousin and are always happy to share. Basically you it a lot and drink a lot while hanging out with polish citizens.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Warsaw?

Accommodation might be a challenge depending on what you are looking for: modern apartment, good location, young people, students, low price, transportation etc. Something must be compromise in order to find the ideal place. Finding a place might take some time due to the language barrier to deal with the owners and the contracts.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

All Universities offer trips during winter semester and other kind events and get togethers during spring semester.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Warsaw?

Warsaw is full of Pubs and Bars specially during the spring (which is my favourite time by far) and summer which are next to the Vistula river, Polish people like to hang out on open air bars during this seasons. During the winter there are plenty of clubs for all kind of tastes.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The Warsaw Uprising Museum is a must as well to take a visit to the Auschwitz museum. Warsaw is full of cultural sites, theres always a new place to discover. Young polish generations are very creative and the city is booming with new trends.
