There are hundreds of reasons to choose one city or another, but if I have to choose among France, Portugal, Italy and Lithuania and what you really want is to learn English, Lithuania is the best option. In this country, people don’t speak English like in Germany or Holland, but if we compare to these countries, in Lithuania there are very few Spaniards and therefore, it is easier to meet Erasmus students from other countries. If you meet a Polish, a Danish, an Icelandic or a Turkish, the official language among you will be English.
On the other hand, if you want to avoid typical cities and to escape from being with more Spanish people, that is other reason to choose Lithuania. There are not many foreign people in Lithuania, so you will be able to enjoy the real life there.
Everything is not beautiful, but it is worth. If someone wants, I don’t mind telling you some adventure that I lived through Vilna’s streets.
