Experience in Vilnius, Lithuania by Maria

What is it like to live in Vilnius? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I've lived in Vilnius my whole life. It's a good and clean city. But there are people here who don't like foreigners. There is discrimination based on your race, on the colour of your skin or your religion.

And it's cold a lot of the time.

They eat a lot of potato and meat here. But there are a lot of different products sold in the supermarkets, I found that the best thing to do is to cook the food you like at home. It's cheaper and better for your health.

Do you have any advice for future students in Vilnius?

You'll need to buy coats for the winter because it's cold and it snows in January and February. Everyone speaks Lithuanian here and almost everyone knows English, too. Hardly anyone speaks Spanish.
