What is it like to live in Vilnius? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I like this city a lot! Vilnius became for me like second home! You gonna understand me, after you visit it.

What is the student lifestyle like in Vilnius?

Vilnius is a very good city for students, because here you can have a great party till the morning, visiting amazing cheerful bars and many many other stuff with low prices! There are a lot of Erasmus students from all over the world. When you go somewhere by public transport you can hear around you a lot of different languages, and that's awesome! Cause you feel like part of this life. And don't worry, people here in the majority speak English!

How much does it cost to live in Vilnius?

Public transport here is really cheap. For example for students with student card, month ticket will cost about 5-6 euro. About apartments, it depends on which you will choose. About alcohol and food you wouldn't be disappointed, because here it normal prices, and students can easily live! Also beer is really cheap (from 1, 50 till 4 euro for 0, 5 in bars).

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Vilnius? Is there any advice you can give?

So, if it's okay for you, you can choose dormitory (like I live in). I paid 70 euro/month. So it's really okay, I am living with two girls in pretty big room. If you want to find some apartments, you can rent it.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

I am from Belarus, so for me Lithuanian cuisine is pretty similar with our. I can say, that it is really tasty. You can taste it in "Forto Dvaras". If you want to eat some pizza or something from European dishes, I recommend you "La Crepe", "Cili pizza", "Charlie pizza" and the most delicious - "Express pizza". About supermarkets, the best are Maxima, after IKI, Rimi and Prisma (in my opinion).

What places would you recommend visiting in Vilnius?

Of course it's Gedimino prospektas, Pilies street, Uzupis district and Gedimino tower. In Vilnius are very cozy and nice streets in old city (city center as well). There you can find a lot of creative and unique streets and really pretty architecture.

Is it good to eat out in Vilnius? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

As I said before there are Forto Dvaras, La Crepe, Cili pizza, Charlie pizza, SOYA, Forest. If to talk about coffee houses, I recommend "Caif cafe", "Vero cafe" and such extraordinary cafe as "Mint vinetu" and "Chaika". And I want to tell about the best ice-cream, you can taste it in "Fionos cukrainė" it is located in the beginning of Piles street. You have to taste it!
