What is it like to live in Vilnius? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Vilnius is a multicultural city where you can meet various people from different countries. However, there you can find really typical things that exist nowhere else than in Lithuania. I sure recommend to visit Vilnius, it's different than a lot of other European capital, above all because there are a lot of green places especially in spring and summer. Some houses are hidden between trees. It's like a city inside a forest.

What is the student lifestyle like in Vilnius?

If you want to experience the real student life you should live in a dormitory. Its the best way to meetnew people and be there for the best parties. Also, the city is full of clubs, bars and pubs which have special offers for students.

How much does it cost to live in Vilnius?

It depends where you choose to live. If you choose to go in a dormitory it costs usually about 50-100 euros per month. if you want to live in a flat it costs 100 euros... . Then, other costs depend from student needs: for food one spend about 20 euros per month and plus parties and other entertainments one can spend around 50-60 per week.

Food is very good, but its quite heavy so if you are on a diet, you will struggle to keep your figure.

Is the nightlife good in Vilnius? Where is good to go?

There are a lot of good places to go out at night in Vilnius. Students should explore all clubs, pubs and bars in old town, particularly in Vilniaus Street and vokečių street. However, I'm sure everyone will find the street that contains the best pub/bar for oneself.

What advice would you give future students heading to Vilnius?

Lithuanian people can be rude with you at first but if you are nice and patient you can find good lithuanian friends.
