Why did you choose to go to Vilnius, Lithuania?

In order to discover Eastern countries.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

One year, and I received 2300 euros.

What is the student lifestyle like in Vilnius?

Very nice.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Vilnius to other students?

Yes.

What is the food like?

Not very good, a lot of potatoes dishes and it's very fat.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Vilnius?

Yes the first two weeks after my arrival it was very difficult to find something cheap and near the city center

How much does it cost to live in Vilnius?

If you want a room in the city center it's about 250/300 euros without utilities. Food in supermarket it's almost the same as France. Restaurant are really cheap, about 5 euros.

Nightclub are free for most of them.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I had 2 weeks of Lithuanian lectures to learn survival sentences, but it's a very difficult language for foreigners.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Vilnius from your city?

From Lyon, you have to take the plan to Brussels and after to Vilnius. There are no direct flights

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Vilnius?

Cocain, Salento, Exit club.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Vilnius?

Gaby restaurant is a typical Lithuanian restaurant that I love.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

KGB muséum, three crosses, gediminas tower, uzupis, old town...

Enjoy your Erasmus, it's so short !
