Why did you choose to go to Vilnius, Lithuania?
Good University, good people and good food :p
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
I'm a full degree student and I receive approximately 600 euros per month.
What is the student lifestyle like in Vilnius?
Exciting in every way possible, you'll get to know amazing people from all over the globe and have some of the most memorable times of your life.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Vilnius to other students?
Sure! Vilnius University has a good international ranking (600/11400) and the city is simply amazing (events and festivals take place almost every month).
What is the food like?
Excellent and cheap.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Vilnius?
No, since I Iive in a dorm, it didn't cost me a lot (dorms are very cheep).
How much does it cost to live in Vilnius?
Depends on your lifestyle.
If you're a person who likes to party each night and always eat outside then 700 euros are more than enough.
In case you cook at home and party moderately (1 time per week) then 400 euros are enough.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available in the University?
Of course! And the teachers at the University will do whatever they can to help you master this beautiful and easy language.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Vilnius from your city?
Unfortunately there are non, I am obliged to travel by plane since I traveled from Calgary Canada.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Vilnius?
Every night club in the old town :p
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Vilnius?
There are a lot of good places that it's hard to choose one.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
I honestly don't know.
Is there any other advice that you could give to future students who are going to Vilnius?
Just make every second count in your stay in Vilnius.
