Why did you choose to go to Vilnius, Lithuania?
I went to Vilnius because my university have an agreement just with the University of Vilnius.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
I was not in Vilnius in Erasmus, but in a double-degree agreement.
What is the student lifestyle like in Vilnius?
They have lot of free time but also very intensive courses.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Vilnius to other students?
Yes.
What is the food like?
I am Italian so my food habits are very different from Lithuanian habits but if you are not so traditionalists and you are curious like I am you will appreciate their food.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Vilnius?
No, it was really simple to find accomodation thanks to some good agencies. I found accomodation in 24h.
How much does it cost to live in Vilnius?
Cost of living here is very low, even if with the adoption of euro prices are a bit higher than some years ago.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Lithuanian language is very difficult to learn but at the university there are several courses available and lots of people (young people in particular) speak a very good english.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Vilnius from your city?
By plane.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Vilnius?
There are lots of pubs and discos but it depends on the days: during working days there are few people going out and usually, some parties for students are organized in different pubs.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Vilnius?
If you want to eat some typical food you could go to Forto Dvaras in Pilies gatve (=street). If you want to eat a good Italian pizza you could go to Jurgis ir Drakonas in Pylimo gatve.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
The castle, the Cathedral and the KBG museum and the Užupis Republic in Vilnius. Then you should visit the Trakai castle, Kaunas and the Hill of Crosses (if you are religious).

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Vilnius in the future?
Just enjoy the city when the weather is good because it changes completely its face!
