Why did you choose to go to Vilnius, Lithuania?
It is a very culturally rich city. I love Eastern Europe and I was curious about Vilnius.
What is the student lifestyle like in Vilnius?
It is amazing. So many things to do. The city always has something to offer, especially during the weekend (thursday - sunday). Every university in Vilnius has an ESN, they will arrange a lot of trips too.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Vilnius to other students?
Yes, I do. It is amazing. The University (ISM) does a lot for the Exchange students and will help you in any way they can. The professors are very nice and skilled.
What is the food like?
Very, very tasteful. If you like pizza, burgers and coffee you will be very happy in Vilnius. If you want something traditional you will eat a lot of potatoes and meat.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Vilnius?
It did not cost me anything, many Facebook pages are there to help you.
How much does it cost to live in Vilnius?
Depends on if you share it or not. Shared living is approx. 200€ if you wanna live on your own it is approx. 400€.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Nope. Language is very strange, but if you put some effort in it you will be able to get most things. They do give Lithuanian language.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Vilnius from your city?
By plane, WizzAir is probably the cheapest. Please do be careful with the amount of bags that you can take with you.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Vilnius?
Start in a club (Mojo or Exit) always end up in Salento. Switch Bar is very good if you like it a bit alternative (video games and alternative music).
Where would you recommend to go outside of Vilnius?
Go to Trakai, and to the country side. You will not be dissapointed. Trakai is the castle (see picture).
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Vilnius?

- Traditional: Forest
