What is the student lifestyle like in Vienna?

There are a lot of students from all over the world. Friendships at the University is weak. Most of your friends you will get from locals (disco, bar, cafe, etc.)
Vienna people are in general friendly. There is some problem with foreign problems, but one you can brake the prejudice they are really friendly and whole-hearted.

How much does it cost to live in Vienna?

700 euro per mounth

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Vienna? Is there any advice you can give?

Dormitories are cheapest way. For rent at the beginning it could be difficult for not western foreigners. Kolpinghaus in Stiegengasse was a dorm where I accommodated.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Schnitzel, bratwurst, etc. You can eat also in Afroasiatische instutute cheap.

What places would you recommend visiting in Vienna?

Oper, Konzerthouse, Stephansdom tower, Leopoldsberg with bicycle, Donauinsel, Lobau, Prater Park.

What advice would you give future students heading to Vienna?

A bicycle friendly city. Have a bike. If you look for some places, ask the road always to old people. They will be happy to speak some words with you and to be involved on young peoples life.
