What is it like to live in Vienna? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I love the city and I am happy I moved here! Gastronomy, Public Transport, Entertainment and Architecture are so great!

Be careful of the well known "Wienergrant".

What is the student lifestyle like in Vienna?

If you are a friend of diversity you will love it here! Biggest student city in the native-German-speaking-area (DE, AT, CH) is the best place to study! But often there are prejudices and groups you will have to deal with.

How much does it cost to live in Vienna?

Actually Vienna is very expensive. That‘s the only disadvantage of the city.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Vienna? Is there any advice you can give?

As I have my own apartment I don‘t know how it is to find a student accommodation. But if you want to have an apartment, prepare yourself to a long research for finding one!

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

I love Austrian cuisine! Try it out yourself!

What places would you recommend visiting in Vienna?

Visit everything! Every corner is lovely and there are often (free) events you should go to.

Is the nightlife good in Vienna? Where is good to go?

Nightlife in Vienna is not my favorite so i can barely name some spots (there are for sure people who know other spots):

Pre-drinks

• Drakon Bar (cute little bar, nice people - i used to work there)
• Graben 30
• Sofitel

Clubbing

• Babenberger Passage
• Albertina Passage
• Volksgarten
• Club Schwarzenberg

Don't

Any other student will name the Loco, Travelshack or Lavalounge but do yourself a favour an stay far away! Drinks May be cheap but people are too! So if you want to hook up for the night, these are your spots to go to.

What advice would you give future students heading to Vienna?

Enjoy the world's most preferred city to live in! It‘s an experience you will never forget! Probably you will stay here, if you fall in love with Vienna! So if you don‘t want to move, be careful with your heart!
