How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

My internship at the university of Vienna lasts 8 months. I received an Erasmus grant, which in my case is €435 each month.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Vienna to other students?

I would definitely recommend Vienna to other students! The city is full of history and culture, all accessible by public transport. There are lots of possibilities for students to meet, party, relax, study...

What is the food like?

You get what you pay for. Often the food is cheap and of decent quality, however beverages tend to be more expensive.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available in the University?

As a native Dutch speaker, the step from Dutch to German is not that big. The university offers a variety of languages courses.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel around Vienna?

The easiest way is the U-Bahn and S-Bahn. This extensive network will get you anywhere in the city.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

One of the most impressive sites I have visited is the Schöbrunn palace. Also, the Hofburg palace with the Imperial Treasury is very nice.
