Why did you choose to go to Vienna, Austria?

I decided to do my MBA in Vienna, its near to my country of origin and I speak german as well. i find Vienna as one of the best cities for studying.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

As I made MBA i had to pay all fees myself.

What is the student lifestyle like in Vienna?

Wherever you coming from, you will find people from your country and that's so great about Vienna. So many student events, organisations...just make some effort and you won't be lost ever.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Vienna to other students?

Definitely!
Great quality of life, possibilities for all kind of studies and hobbies!

What is the food like?

Well, nowadays everywhere on Earth you can find diverse food places, Vienna is not an exempion either.
Preparing food yourself is more expensive then eating outside but again there are planty of options for every budget and taste.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Vienna?

Oh yeah! I remember it was stressful really..took lot of time and at the end money as well.
Accommodation in Vienna is not cheap but worse is all of paperology you have to collect and sign in order to step in to your chosen place! Double check all additional expenses

How much does it cost to live in Vienna?

Hm not easy question becuase it all depends what your choices are.
Accomodation:
-alone in student place up to 500€
-sharing apartment from 300-600€
-alone in apartment from 700 and up €
Insurance: cheapest for students 45€
Mobile phone: prepaid even from 10€/month
TV&Internet: around 40€/month
Transport ticket: pay for whole year its cheaper, 360€/year for students
Grocery: fruits&veggies are not cheap, rest is all up to taste

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I speak german but language itself is not easy, still there are sooo many available courses and for students is very easy to get familiar with

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Vienna from your city?

Driving from my city takes around 6h and its most economical way.
I personally mostly choose to fly as return ticket cost me about 100€ and takes less then 1h

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Vienna?

Well Vienna has a bit of everything to offer, Volksgarten was most popular lately

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Vienna?

Sushi in Dots, Fish @Naschmarkt, meat at Plachuta, Apfelstrudel at Demel

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Oh there are sooo many, easiet way just google it and you won't miss any. Take a bus tour is quite nice and just walk and walk around :)

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Vienna in the future?

Vienna is offering to students soo many nice options for plants of activities, sport etc... use your student status best you can, try different things and enjoy it! Ones you lose your student status all is much more expensive and/or not available
