Why did you choose to go to Vienna, Austria?

Yes, there i was.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

My scholarship was from the first days of September until the end of June. From January to March I did a compulsory unpaid internship (normally internships in Vienna are paid approximately 800-1200 euros per month). In total, I received approximately 3000 euros throughout the year, of which I received about 2000 in October and the remaining sum in July.

What is the student lifestyle like in Vienna?

You really can do a lot of things. For example, you can visit incredible museums, go to good parties (techno, commercial, Latin,... ), you can go to the bar with friends, go hiking in Kahlenberg (+45 minutes from the city center), in summer it's great, to swim in the Danube and in winter we skate on it (this year it's exceptional cold) You can also walk and admire its architecture, the smaller alleys are wonderful to discover (Don't forget your camera, or buy one. You'll use it.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Vienna to other students?

I study at the FH of BFI Vienna.

I would definitely recommend the city and university where you study, although, you won't study much.

What is the food like?

The most typical cakes are the Sachertorte or Kaiserschmarrn. You can also find many noodle shops (4. 90 euros for a box that is enough for food).

The food is good and not too expensive.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Vienna?

I paid 405 euros a month and stayed in a Stuwo bedroom. Shared apartments are cheaper.

How much does it cost to live in Vienna?

As I mentioned earlier, I paid 405 euros for my accommodation and used my 300 euro grant monthly for food and drink. It also depends on how often you go into town, this may or may not be good.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

There are language courses, and "Sprachcafes'; (Pubs to speak with native German speakers).

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Vienna from your city?

Fly with Ryanair to Bratislava airport, then travel with Flixbus to Vienna. Both that airline and the bus line are inexpensive.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Vienna?

Praterdome (Very big club, but expensive)

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Vienna?

For me it's the Café Central for Kaiserschmarrn and the Hotel Sacher by Demel for Sachertorte.
