Why did you choose to go to Vienna, Austria?

When I was in Vienna for the holidays 3 years ago I said: If I go for Erasmus I will go to Vienna. :)

9,5 months = 4085 Euro

What is the student lifestyle like in Vienna?

Would you recommend the city and the University of Vienna to other students?

Yes of course! The city is beutiful all year. If the weather is not good, you can still do a lot of activities.

What is the food like?

I love the food there! Especialy sushi point are good and cheap! We did a lot of picnick!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Vienna?

It was really terrible, but it was my mistake. I did not accept offer from dormitory on time and I had to search on myself. (It was terrible experience, but I am stronger because of it) :))

How much does it cost to live in Vienna?

more than in my country but also the quality of living is much more higher!

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, the language courses are avaiable in the university and also you can enroll for courses in the another uni.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Vienna from your city?

From Prague to Vienna definetely with studentagency.cz (yellow bus costs 27 euro return ticket)

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Vienna?

Charle P´s iris bar, Disco U4... you can follow offer from ESN and EBN :)

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Vienna?

Natso sushi

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

We have visited almost everything because we did a lot of excursions. You can search for the sites online.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Vienna in the future?

Enjoy it! :)
Ok there is one advice... If you want to have semester ticket for public transport in half price (75euro) you have to manage the document till special date! I know that for summer semester it is till February but I am not sure about winter one. It is good to ask. You can save 75 euro (regular ticket costs 150 eur/semester).

and if you like sport, go to Sport university of Vienna. Dont matter if you dont speak german.
