Why did you choose to go to Vienna, Austria?

I chose Vienna because is close to my home town in Slovakia that means it would be a perfect future working possibility. Vienna is an amazing city with everything what anybody would need. High level of life, safety, beautiful enviroment, remarkable history, great transport system, cycling path and so on..

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I spent 6 months in Vienna on erasmus intership with 610 eur scholarship per month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Vienna?

I can really hardly say how it is because I worked and didn´t live at dormitory but I am pretty sure it is amazing :)

Would you recommend the city and the University of Vienna to other students?

Definitely!it is worth to study there.

What is the food like?

I don´t prefer Austrian traditional dishes but Vienna is so big and multicultural city full of all type of nation restaurants. No problem to find the favorite one .

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Vienna?

It cost me nothing only nerves.

How much does it cost to live in Vienna?

My accomodation cost 310 euro per month and I had 12m2 big room. It depends on style of everybody but is possible to live quite cheap.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I think the language ist really difficult but as I have heard is viennas University offer some courses so it depends on everybody attitude.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Vienna from your city?

I think by car with other people.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Vienna?

I didn´t see so much from night life...but I liked a lot Museums quartier and Leopolds caffe in.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Vienna?

I used to eat often sushi in Vienna. And my favourite one is Natsu sushi restaurant. Very cheap but with great quality.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Whole Vienna is perfect to see...The city center and ring strasse is perfect to see . All parks I liked to most in Vienna and my favourite one was Burg garten.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Vienna in the future?

Buy a cheap bike and use it every day :)
