Why did you choose to go to Vienna, Austria?

I wanted to go to a german speaking akademie because my mothertoung is german and vienna is the nearest one.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

unfortunatly just one semester, i wanted to do a full year. I don´t know yet.

What is the student lifestyle like in Vienna?

I would like to know as well. But the people seemed verry nice.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Vienna to other students?

yes it´s nice here, the academy is verry organized.

What is the food like?

I don´t know. Restourants and stuff where never open during my stay. But I noticed that in the Supermarkets they have a lot of Vegan options.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Vienna?

It was easy to find a flat on facebook if that was the question.

How much does it cost to live in Vienna?

I pay 350€ warm for my room and 150€ for the pubblic transport Semesterticket. Food is a bit more expenciv than I´m used to (Italy).

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

German is my first language. Yes there are language corses.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Vienna from your city?

By train. Usualy there is a direct train from Bolzano to Vienna (bc of covid you have to change 2 times) with the Öbb Jugendkarte it costs 50€.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Vienna?

If it´s a nice day you can illigaly go and sit somewhere with friends.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Vienna?

HA HA HA.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

There are lots of interesting Museums and antike buildings you can visit I liked the MAK a lot.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Vienna in the future?

Pack warm clothes! Sometimes it gets verry cold even in Spring.
