Carnevale in Italy
Carnevale in Italy
It is a very famous event in Italy specially in Venice, Viareggio, and Cento. This event fits with the Catholic rituals. During this period, it is full of celebrations and parties.
Verona is not far away from Venice and Verona also has one of the oldest Carnevale celebrations which is dating back to 1615. In Verona both citizens and non-citizens participate for this evet. This event will be held around Piazza bra in Verona. It starts around 4 or 5 p.m and parade goes around the main city (Piazza bra). Verona has a huge parade which contains more than 500 floats. This event would end around 7.30 p.m.
In each year, I go to visit this event in Verona. It is an amazing place to enjoy with friends but not only with friends but also as a family and kids. Most of the people and kids who are going to visit the parade, wear some fancy dresses on that day. The huge parade contains decorated carriages, dancing groups, horse riding groups, clowns and fancy-dress or special costume items. The most famous thing among the kids is to have different types of toffees and other sweets from the people who walk in the parade. Though I am a young person I also love to have sweets.
I would like to recommend you go and visit this event and you would not disappoint it about. Most of the bars and other snacks shops are open in the city on this day. If you could find a place of a bar in piazza delle erbe then you can watch this parade while enjoying an aperitivo. But most of the them these bars get crowded in the evening of Carnevale.
