My Erasmus experience in Valencia

I did an Erasmus in Valencia the fall semester of 2018, and it was the greatest experience of my life. I studied informatics at Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, and everything about the University was great. Helpful teachers, super nice students and a beautiful campus.

If you're going to UPV, I highly recommend you to take the Spanish course offered by them that takes place in Gandía about 2 weeks before the semester starts in Valencia. They have a huge program for the 2 weeks full of parties and trips to get to know the other Erasmus students, and during daytime you learn Spanish.

I would also recommend you to find a flat close to the University. It's super easy to get to the centre and to the beach by Valenbisi or metro, so it's better to prioritize having a flat within walking distance of the Uni.

I also joined one of the Erasmus trips offered by Happy Erasmus, which was amazing. Valencia is a city with a huge nightlife and a lot of international students, so there's always a lot to do. You should join Happy Erasmus or ESN Valencia so you can go to their trips and events, and you will meet a lot of great people.
