What is it like to live in Valencia? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I think Valencia is a great city for living, not only for its size, which is not too big, nor too small, but also the good weather. It has everything you need, and it's easy to move around by public transport or bike.

What is the student lifestyle like in Valencia?

There are different areas for students where you can find very cheap places for food and drinks, everyone is very respectful, and the public transport is very comfortable and cheap.

How much does it cost to live in Valencia?

As it has been told, it is not an expensive city; a room can cost you from 150€ to even 500€, it all depends on the area.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Valencia? Is there any advice you can give?

I visited several pages where they offer rooms or even houses for rent, and I visited a few, so it wasn´t difficult.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is amazing; Horchata (a tyipical sweet drink) and the paella is a must if you go, you can´t come and not try it, but also they have very good fish, fruits and vegetables.

What places would you recommend visiting in Valencia?

The historical center, without forgetting the Central Marquet, La Lonja de la Seda or the Cathedral, and of course the City of Arts and Sciences, la Albufera, a lake close to Valencia. Valencia has a lot of history, so don't miss it.

Is it good to eat out in Valencia? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

My recomendations are: in Plaza Xúquer, Pan de Azúcar y Tanto Monta; in Ruzafa neigbourhood, porque lo digo yo; in Plaza del Cedro, la Kashba.

Is the nightlife good in Valencia? Where is good to go?

There are 3 places that I like: one is barrio de Ruzafa, an alternative neighbourhood, El Carmen, in the city center, and Calle Polo y Peyrolon, a street full of cheap bars and pubs. Also a disco called Umbracle, in the City of Arts and Sciences.

What advice would you give future students heading to Valencia?

It could sound incredible, but there are a couple of months when it rains very hard, so be prepared for that.

And welcome to Valencia!
