What is it like to live in Valencia? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

The city is a very green city, nice and beautiful, cosmopolitan but not too much. it has a great deal of modern and classic architectures and a very nice park cross-cutting the city in to two half.

What is the student lifestyle like in Valencia?

for your students, there are so much to do, sports, clubs, and the beach, yet is not like american atmosphere where you can find huge book store open until around mid nights, no, most of the commercial shops including book store which are not many, are closing around 8, and several book cafe's are opening until 10th.

How much does it cost to live in Valencia?

Depends on the life style. if in a sharing flat, some one can find a deal for a 9-12 meter square room for around 230-250 euros in a 3-4 bedroom flat, several stopes from the Uni, or 260-300 euros around the uni. in both cases the utility included.

But a private flat is more expensive and minimum for one academic year is 450-500 euros studio or one single bedroom flat.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Valencia? Is there any advice you can give?

Not very much, Idealista. com is good place to find flats and rooms.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

I am sorry, I may not be the good person to judge foods, yet the Paella and Sangria are the traditional food and drink of Valencian besides the Gazpacho,

What places would you recommend visiting in Valencia?

Catedral, Carmen, downtown, Playas, City of Science and Art, oceanography and towns around the city, there are so many ancient villages and castles around Valencia

Is it good to eat out in Valencia? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

You can find restaurants and cafe every where, but downtown Restaurants are better. Not so many international restaurants

Is the nightlife good in Valencia? Where is good to go?

Yes especially weekends

What advice would you give future students heading to Valencia?

Learn Spanish or Valenciano, you will have so many problems if you only rely on English.

Either start there in home, or when you arrive, first thing you do is going to a spanish language classes.
