What is it like to live in Valencia? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I've been studying in Valencia for three years now. This city is a fantastic city to live in your student's life. There is a lot of party and it is always sunny.

What is the student lifestyle like in Valencia?

Crazy (in the good way) when it comes to parties and social activities, but a bit tough when it comes to studies. But, of course, that last thing depends on the degree you are studying.

How much does it cost to live in Valencia?

It is a cheap lifestyle. Renting a flat is not expensive (I pay 250€), groceries are not expensive at all, party is also cheap if you go to Erasmus' clubs (El Carmen).

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Valencia? Is there any advice you can give?

It is not difficult is you start looking at it asap. I recommend start looking for accommodation around the middle of April/beginning of May

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is the best food you could ever taste. Everything is good, and there is more delicious food than just "paella" ;) (I don't like paella by the way). My favourite dish are "croquetas con jamón", you MUST taste them.

What places would you recommend visiting in Valencia?

The "river", Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, la Albufera, Miguelet (to see Valencia's overview)

Is it good to eat out in Valencia? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes! it is not expensive.
My favourite could be "Pan de Azúcar", but I have a loooooot of favourites restaurants and bars.

Is the nightlife good in Valencia? Where is good to go?

Yes yes, as I said before, go to "El Carmen"

What advice would you give future students heading to Valencia?

Enjoy life, be social. Don't stop doing things.
