What is it like to live in Valencia? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
I strongly recommend it, I'm from here, but I must say it's a really nice place to live in: it's not as big as Barcelona, but it has everything and the sea is really close. There is a big Erasmus community and the people are really nice.
What is the student lifestyle in Valencia?
You're gonna work in the Uni, but you're gonna enjoy your time here.
How much does it cost to live in Valencia?
Around 200-300€ the monthly rent and I would say another 200-300€ the expenses.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Valencia? Is there any advice you can give?
It's not difficult to find accommodation, you have to look for it in Spanish and be able to write and talk with the owner in Spanish.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
The Mediterranean cuisine it's healthy and you can find nice and cheap places to eat almost every type of food.
What places would you recommend visiting in Valencia?
The beach, the Ciudad de las Artes, the city center and to do trips around the Comunidad Valenciana.
Is it good to eat out in Valencia? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Yes, it depends on the areas you go, you can choose between the city center (more expensive and elegant) or the areas near the universities that are quite more affordable and also really good.
Is the nightlife good in Valencia? Where is good to go?
Yes, it is, if you are Erasmus or from abroad, you have free entrance most of the days in different clubs and discos
What advice would you give future students heading to Valencia?
Try to travel around Spain as much as you can, enjoy the siesta.
