What is it like to live in Valencia? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

When I retired I have chosen Valencia as my second town to live in. So, this should be enough to make you understand how much I like this city: large but not too much, lively but not too noisy, rich but not posh, mediterranean but not byzantine, and therefore YES, I WOULD RECOMMEND iT.

What is the student lifestyle like in Valencia?

I do not know, because I am not a student, but rather an old professor.

How much does it cost to live in Valencia?

30% less than in Bari (South of Italy), my home town.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Valencia? Is there any advice you can give?

I do not want to give names here, but I would say it is quite easy to find an accommodation which fits all needs and purse.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

I am a strong supporter of the mediterranean diet and in Valencia I feel at ease.

What places would you recommend visiting in Valencia?

Old Town (around the Cathedral), all shopping streets around Ayuntamiento Square, harbor region.

Is it good to eat out in Valencia? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

What advice would you give future students heading to Valencia?

I am a great supporter of 'Erasmus' programme because it helps in making us more european, therefore my main advise is to understand as much as possible the spanish-catalan way-of-life, besides the obvious commitment involving the curriculum.
