What is it like to live in Valencia? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
It is a great experience. I recommend it because it is an affordable city. It has all the services you would like to have in a big city but also it is so much calmer than other cities.
What is the student lifestyle like in Valencia?
It depends on the university, but you have a huge range of opportunities to make your choice.
Out of the university there is so much life, students socialize at every time.
How much does it cost to live in Valencia?
It depends on the area you live in. In the university area around Blasco Ibáñez renting a room could cost 200-300€.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Valencia? Is there any advice you can give?
There are a lot of rooms that are rented every year. However the prizes are high taking into account the characteristics of some apartments.
I recommend you to talk with more than one real estate.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
The Mediterranean food is amazing.
My favourite dishes are: paella, tapas, tortilla de patata...
And my favourite desserts are: torrijas, churros...
What places would you recommend visiting in Valencia?
Is it good to eat out in Valencia? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Yes. There are a lot of worldwide known spots like McDonalds, KFC, Domino’s pizza. But I recommend you Saona.
Also you can find Chinese, Indian or any type or food restaurants.
Is the nightlife good in Valencia? Where is good to go?
Yes. I like going to pubs in El Carmen or El Cedro (University area). Also there are some good discos; I like Mya, Le Premier or Indiana.
What advice would you give future students heading to Valencia?
Enjoy it! You have a lot of things to do here.
