Why did you choose to go to Valencia, Spain?

I was looking for an internship and the lab there was interesting! Also, I wanted sun and beach!

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

From EU I had roughly 900€. But it cumulated with other scholarship (from my region in France and from the government).

What is the student lifestyle like in Valencia?

Depends on how you wish to live it. There are some people who would spend the whole day sleeping, waiting for the night to go out. But if you can live during the day, it is great! There are trips with the Erasmus group, and a lot of activities that you can also do on your own!

Would you recommend the city and the University of Valencia to other students?

Yop! Definitely! I found almost everything I wanted in the city. Music, sports, beach, sun, skateparks, cheap cost of living! And the lab was nice!

What is the food like?

I didn't get that much Spanish food actually, but it is usually good and there are tons of international food places!

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Valencia?

Nope! Fairly easy, with Uniplaces!

How much does it cost to live in Valencia?

Roughly 250 for the accommodation and afterwards, for eating I'd say maybe 100€ ~ 200€ a month, depending on what you want to eat.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

OF course!

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Valencia from your city?

From Marseille, plane to Madrid or straight to Valencia if after April.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Valencia?

As I personally hate techno-stupid-music, I was actually surprised and really enjoyed going out to some clubs and bars where they play jazz or blues music. Radio City, Black Note Club. They also have jam session every week!

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

On construction, but the whole city of Science, Hemisferium is awesome
