Why did you choose to go to Valencia, Spain?
To work on my level of Spanish, but also to discover the Spanish culture! The advantage? A pleasant climate all year round.
How long was your stay? How much financial help do you receive?
5 months. I receive 250 euros per month.
How would you describe the student atmosphere in Valencia?
Very festive!
Would you recommend the university of Valencia to others?
Yes, of course!
What is the food like in this country?
Excellent. Mainly made up of tapas (patatas bravas, croquettas, ham and cheese) and especially paella Valencienne!
Did you have difficulties finding accommodation in Valencia?
No. There are several sites that propose student housing in Valencia (Idealista, Uniplaces... )
What is the cost of living in Valencia?
Not very high.
What about language learning? Have you been to language courses organised by the university?
It's not very difficult. . Some of my lessons are in Spanish, which allows me to access the language.
What's the cheapest way to reach Valencia from your hometown?
By plane.
Where would you recommend for partying in Valencia?
L'Umbracle: a massive open club! And the Rusafa area!
And to eat in Valencia? What are your favourite places?
San Tommaso, an Italian restaurant that's not expensive, that offers gourmet food.
Which cultural excursions would you recommend?
The City of Arts and Sciences!
Any advice for future students in Valencia?
Try to practise Spanish to a maximum with other foreign students (because it's too easy to just speak in English)
