Why did you choose to go to Valencia, Spain?

Hot weather, cheap, easy studies, happy people, happy life.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

For all the months. I stayed from february till july. Scolarship was 450euros per month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Valencia?

Party and party ant party :) a bit of studies, but everyone is fantastic. There are around 5000 erasmus people each semester, it's just amazing.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Valencia to other students?

I would recommend the city 100 percent. I studied in Universitat Politecninca de Valencia, so I highly recommend this university. It's much bigger than University of Valencia, it has huge campus, there are lots of things that you can do during your leisure time. And also I met people from both universities, so as from my experience, studies are easier in Politecnica, because of the higher amount of erasmus people, and usually we have our own classes which are prepared specially for us.

What is the food like?

Absolutely amazing! It's cheap comparing with western europe. Both drinks and food. Fruits, vegs - all amazing, olives, cheeses, jamon... perfect.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Valencia?

I found it by the advertisments in the streets.

How much does it cost to live in Valencia?

I paid 140 euros per month. But it was all included, and in the end the owner sent us back a bit of a money that left from the bills. So it was nice, and she took care of everything. Some of my friends had rooms for 110-120, but mine was very very nice one.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yeah language is really easy. if you know some french, as i do, it's much more easier. Also you can have a course in Uni :)

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Valencia from your city?

Well I am from Lithuania, so it's for sure - by plane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Valencia?

Every night there is something else going on. There is the whole schedule, which night where to go :) I recommend Las Animas and Umbracle, as they're the clubs with an amazing views just right outside... perfect.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Valencia?

Most of the restaurants they are in the city centre, there you can find some nice paellas, but in another part of the city where universities are, i suggest to go to Mercadona and buy some stuff, everything is fresh and not expensive.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Whole Spain!

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Valencia in the future?

Go and enjoy, it will be amazing :))) I am already jealous of those who will be going there!
