Why did you choose to go to Valencia, Spain?

Because it is an important city of Spain, but not too big. It is located along the coast, it has a very good climate. It is also an international and multicultural city.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

It was a semester. I received more or less 500€ each month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Valencia?

Very interesting. Universities in Valencia are very important and organized. There are a lot of students from all Spain and also lots of foreigner students. Lots of events along the year (international events and local events).

Would you recommend the city and the University of Valencia to other students?

Yes

What is the food like?

Quite good. You can find all types of international foods, but also typical spanish "taperias" for very good meals and not much expensive.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Valencia?

Not too much. You can take advantage from some internet web sites and check announces or write your personal request announce. In 3/4 days you can find accomodation.

How much does it cost to live in Valencia?

you can rent a single room (expenditures and bill included) for about 250/300€.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes it is easy. Thera are many courses availables in the University for all strangers students groups.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Valencia from your city?

By plane

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Valencia?

Las Animas (puerto)

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Valencia?

La mar de vi (tapas)

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Ciudad de las ciencias. Bioparque. Turia. Torres de Serrano.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Valencia in the future?

Buy soon a bike to move around the city!
