Why did you choose to go to Valencia, Spain?

I chose to go to Valencia because I found a lab which fit in with my thesis topic.

How long are you staying there for? How much funding do you receive?

2 months. You get 1000 euros of funding, and I brought 1000 euros with me.

What’s the student life like in Valencia?

The atmosphere is excellent.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Valencia to other students?

Yes.

What’s the food like in this country?

I didn’t really like the food.

Did you have trouble finding accommodation in Valencia?

No.

What is the cost of living in Valencia?

1000 euros a month is enough.

How did you find learning the language? Have you been to any language classes organised by the university?

I find Spanish an easy language, but I have not had classes.

Where are your favourite places to eat in Valencia?

Turkish / Moroccan restaurants.

And which cultural places do you recommend?

The city of arts and sciences.

Any advice for future students in Valencia?

Enjoy your time in Valencia! Make the absolute most of it because it is a very beautiful city.
