Alicia's Experience in Valencia, Spain
What attracts you to living in Valencia? Do you recommend it? What's it like?
Valencia is a wonderful place to live. It has all the amenities of a big city, but it's not too big, so you can get to know it all easily. We have a very good climate, it's almost tropical. So in winter, it's still quite pleasant because it's not that cold, but the summers are suffocating with the heat.
What's the country's food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Spanish food, in general, is great, but Valencia is characterised by the Mediterranean diet. We have a very expansive and delicious gastronomy. One of my favourite dishes is the paella, which is typical of Valencia.
What places do you recommend visiting in Valencia?
The old town of the city, where you can find iconic buildings such as the Cathedral, the Lonja, the Basilica or the Micalet. You will find a lot of baroque and neoclassical architecture in Valencia.
