What attracts you to living in Valencia? Do you recommend it? What’s it like?

Valencia is a great city to live in. It’s really pretty, full of places to visit and things to do, and it has a great climate the majority of the year. Some areas of Valencia aren’t as nice, mainly the traffic or some of the less affluent areas, but in general, it's a totally recommendable city.

What’s the student lifestyle like in Valencia?

The university atmosphere in Valencia is amazing, there is a huge range of places to go out at night, and the university areas are really easy to get to. There is also a wide variety of different nationalities living there.

How much does it cost to live in Valencia?

Living costs can vary a lot. You could survive on the bare minimum, it all depends on how much you go out and how you travel throughout the city. In general, you can live well with 600 euros a month. Public transport is the most expensive thing, which also isn’t even that good.

Was it difficult to find accommodation in Valencia? Do you have any advice?

It isn’t difficult, but you can find yourself looking at lots of flats in the beginning that seem good but then they turn out to be awful. The best thing to do is to go to the universities and look on the streets where there are lots of notices about rooms that are up for let, especially flats for students.

What’s the country’s food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Spanish food is one of the best. There’s lots of variety, it’s very good quality and the prices aren’t too high either.

What places do you recommend visiting in Valencia?

For tourism, the old town, the Carmen area, and there is also a wide range of old neighbourhoods to see in the central area. The different towers and the river are also must-sees!

What about eating out in Valencia? What are your favourite places?

The best places to eat out are in the Blasco Ibanez and Aragon area, where there are lots of different types of restaurants and bars. Also, in the Colon Area and surrounding neighbourhoods, there is a wide variety of places which charge really decent prices.

What places do you recommend for nightlife in Valencia?

There are lots of places to go out at night in Valencia, from typical clubs like Animas, SuperClub95, Acuarela, Rumbo144, etc. to areas with lots of pubs like in Aragon, such as White House, Cachao and Tucán etc.

Do you have any advice for future students in Valencia?

Valencia is a great city to be a student in. If you can find a good flat close to the university and near the party areas, you will have an amazing experience. You will also really enjoy the cosmopolitan atmosphere of the city.
