What is it like to live in Timisoara? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Timisoara is Awesome. Weekends are great for parties. Most of the student life is concentrated in one area close to the city center. Pubs, clubs, outdoor clubs, pool parties, everything you like, you can find it here. The entire city has many places to hang out, giant parks to relax and a newly restored city center with a great baroque atmosphere. Getting around in town is easy with bike, bus or cab.

FOOD is GREAT. Romanian traditional food is delicious as it's a very important part of the culture. You can find great restaurants here. What advice would you give future students heading to Timisoara?

Quite cold during winter, bring warm clothes if you are from a warm country.

Try not to have any opinions about Romania before you get here and meet the people. Try to make as many romanian friends as you can, besides your Erasmus mates. If you are a pleasant well intentioned person you will be treated very nice.

The internet works faster than yours, wherever you come from.
