What is it like to live in Thessaloniki? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Living in Thessaloniki is like living at home, wherever that may be! the city's aura is by general opinion,set in the I-must-have-lived-here-before modjo.It is sunny,without the absence of a proper-like chilly winter,filled with small coffe-shops,night clubs, AND OF COURSE heavenly smells of sweets and mouth-watering meals! The town is full with third/four generation "Polites" which translates to Greeks that used to live in Konstantinoupoli, or as many of you may know, Istanbul. They are an essential part of Thessalonikis' food and history culture and the town would not be as unique without them.Transportation is made feasible by bus and just plain old good walking.The citys' rural design makes it quite easy to orientate and find your way,anytime of the day. I definetely reccomend Thessaloniki!
