What places would you recommend visiting in Thessaloniki?

The first place is Aristotelous Square and after that the road will take you to the White Tower. I would suggest you to walk next to the waterfront till the end of pedestrian zone. Also if you have a bit more time, you can visit Archeological museum. Another place is Ano Poli. It is the upper town of Thessaloniki, the old city which is left after the big fire. There you can visit the old walls of Thessaloniki and the castle. Also there are some of the oldest buildings in Thessaloniki, the national treasure, for example the 16 monasteries, among others.
