What is it like to live in Thessaloniki? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

city is like the heaven. It has mountain and sea this two diferent things it was wonderfal to make a walk by the sea.

What is the student lifestyle like in Thessaloniki?

In thessaoniki people was very friendly.All students will be friends with an erasmus student.The city has so much enterteiment many clubs for partymany coffes it has everything you want.

How much does it cost to live in Thessaloniki?

it is fair cost. for example the coffe near the sea has 5euro but in the street you can find it with 1-2 euros take away. the food in restauran has 6-7euro for person but ou can eat sandwiches with 2-3euro. has very cheap bakery. the cost for erasmus student in bus is 0,40-0,50euros. one good hotel has 30-40euros per night. Drinks has 7-10 euros in club.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Thessaloniki? Is there any advice you can give?

no it isn't. it has so many apartments and studios around 200-300euro. all house here in greece has prive bathroom no share nowhere. to be near university you have to find a studio at Toumpa or Ayiou dimitriou, Kamara its good areas for students. bad areas is Giannitson street or Monastiriou and the west city is no good i prefer the east city of thessaloniki.

food is delicious i prefer pizza or giro.

What places would you recommend visiting in Thessaloniki?

you have to go in white tower, in seihsou forest, in castles.

Is it good to eat out in Thessaloniki? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

it is good and clear. i prefer to eat on aristotelous street has many shops with everything. i prefer for restaurands the area of Ladadika is more cheep and has more good menu not like Athonos is very expensive.

Is the nightlife good in Thessaloniki? Where is good to go?

is very good has many young people girls or boys. good places is shark bar restaurant, vogue club, dogs club. bedroom club or markiz is the most famous places on nightlife in town.

What advice would you give future students heading to Thessaloniki?

is not dangerous city people hee is friendly everywhere have robbers,thieves and poor people. Here you are not in dangerous because all day and all night has people outside in shops and bars closed at 7-8 at morning so the city has people and life you are not in dangerous.
