What is it like to live in Thessaloniki? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Life in Thessaloniki is the student's dream. The center of Thessaloniki is easy to learn and do not get lost. People are the friendliest and nicest people in Greece and they will make you feel like home. . It has many byzantine churches and architecture. It is near to the sea and that is a great point!! Whatever you do whenever you like, there is alawayw time to go for a walk by the sea.

What is the student lifestyle like in Thessaloniki?

Thessaloniki has many activities for student and greek life fun!The prices for food and drink are much lower than any other city in Greece and you can drink until you get drunk with 10 e!! Thats amazing!
I reccomend students to go there because it is a very friendly city with nice places and nice weather

How much does it cost to live in Thessaloniki?

Now with the economical crisis you can find a place to stay at a low cost of 100e. In students house i think is lower but i am not sure. the taffic in thessaloniki is a problem but you dont have to worry everybody is cool (XALARA!) and you can go wherever you like by buss or on foot. it is easy to learn

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Thessaloniki? Is there any advice you can give?

There is not. You can just ask for a house at a Mesetiko Grafeio. There they can give you houses for rent or ask on a students house of the University.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Foof and drink are cheap. Menu for a fast food dinner: 1hot dog with salad and chips inside 0,70), 1large beer (0,70), 1 piece of pizza special(0,80) and 1 crepa with cholote and biscuite(1,50) and the quality is excellent!! want to go out for a drink? you can drink o,5l of wine with 4e and beer on a bar with 2e.

What places would you recommend visiting in Thessaloniki?

All the centre of the city is a monument! Leykos Pirgos, Anw Poli, Rotonta, Ayia Sofia for sure. A! The Toumpa Stadium, too. There plays PAOK!

Is it good to eat out in Thessaloniki? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It is great it has a taste of Konstantinoupoli. My favourite spots is on Athonos, Bit Bazar, Gyradiko(greek sovlaki at a very large size it costs 2,30e)

Is the nightlife good in Thessaloniki? Where is good to go?

Unbeilivable.!

What advice would you give future students heading to Thessaloniki?

Live it till the end! Everyday get out, go sightseeing, walks by the sea, fall in love with greek and i can tell tha Thessaloniki has the most beautiful women! I have to tell you that i am from Athens and i do prefer Thessaloniki. The city rocks!!!! Go there, it is an unbelivable expiience and unforgetable! Best wishes for the new year!
