Yes, I would surely recommend! Life is calm, not the hustle and bustle of Athens.

There are a lot of things to do, it is the biggest student city of Greece. A lot of events, festivals, places to hang out and meet new people...
How much does it cost to live in Thessaloniki?
It is not high, you can find cheap places to eat and go out. With the rent, between 600-800 € per month I think.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Thessaloniki? Is there any advice you can give?
Nowadays it is a bit difficult, but for Erasmus students there are options. Like Greek students who go for Erasmus and rent their apartments for these months.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Mousakas, Gemista (stuffed vegetables), Souvlaki, Tzatziki and from sweets: trigona Panoramatos, bougatsa, pasteli...
What places would you recommend visiting in Thessaloniki?
White Tower, Port of Thessaloniki, Concert Hall, Pirgos Trigoniou (old fortress), Ano Poli (upper city)...
Is it good to eat out in Thessaloniki? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Giok Mpalik, Takadum, Ladadika district in general, Extravaganza, Ellinikon (close to White Tower), Roots (for vegan-vegetarian), and Tsinari (upper city).
Is the nightlife good in Thessaloniki? Where is good to go?
Valaoritou, Ladadika, Port (Limani), Rotonda...
There are also a lot of parties organised inside the university.
What advice would you give future students heading to Thessaloniki?
Keep calm, you will have a great time for sure!
