Why did you choose to go to Thessaloniki, Greece?

It is near my country, also coming here was my dream. So I made this dream real.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

For 4-5 months; from mid February to end of June.

What is the student lifestyle like in Thessaloniki?

Being a student in Thessaloniki is so fun, because here is a seaside city. Also in everywhere you can find many activities.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Thessaloniki to other students?

Exactly, yes.

What is the food like?

Actually, I don't have any problem about food, except for pork, because we have similar food.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Thessaloniki?

We are two girls who stay together in a studio. We are paying 400 euros per month. So it's 200 euros per person. Sure, it's a lot of money, you can find cheaper places for accommodation, also bigger ones.

How much does it cost to live in Thessaloniki?

Averagely 500 euros per month.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

There are free Greek courses for foreign students at university.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Thessaloniki from your city?

I travel by bus, but also plane is cheap.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Thessaloniki?

In Eightball, there is always an erasmus party every week.

And for eating? Can you recommend any good restaurants in Thessaloniki?

Gyros is the cheapest food here, also Merenda for those people who love the dessert.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Thessaloniki in the future?

Live the moment and of course always Halaraa (in Greek, 'relax').
