Why did you choose to go to Thessaloniki, Greece?
I chose to make my Erasmus in Thessaloniki, because I like how tiny the city is. It is not very big one, but it's a cozy piece of Greece.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
I received 1000 Euros monthly. I did Erasmus Mundus.
What is the student lifestyle like in Thessaloniki?
The students have a plenty of opportunities to party and have fun in Thessaloniki. It's a center of good parties and gatherings.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Thessaloniki to other students?
Yes.
What is the food like?
The food is delicious. You should try Gyros, Souvlaki, but not overestimate it. You must eat Bougatsa of course.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Thessaloniki?
Yes.
How much does it cost to live in Thessaloniki?
Monthly you will spend around 600 Euros.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Language courses are available for Erasmus students.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Thessaloniki from your city?
Bus
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Thessaloniki?
Panorama, Castle, for parties- Volaoridou, Kalamaria, for food/drinks- Ladadika
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Thessaloniki?
Elia Lemoni, Edessaiko, Erebouni, Astrofeggia, Odissea :)
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Castle, Museums, War Museum :)
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Thessaloniki in the future?
Enjoy walking at seaside every evening :)
