Erasmus Experience in Thessaloniki, Greece by Alessandro
Why did you choose to go to Thessaloniki, Greece?
Because I was looking for a mediterranean country like mine, and since greek is not compulsory at the university I could definitely improve my english. Then life there is awesome, and I had the best experience of my life
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Thessaloniki?
Well at the beginning I was living in a student residence but I found a flat (thanks to facebook) right after because the residence was not that good. Of course it happened that I've been sleeping in a hotel just for a couple of days, but by far I found an accomodation pretty fast and at a cheap price (my rent was about 230€ per month)
How much does it cost to live in Thessaloniki?
With 650€you can live pretty well (flat included)
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
I did not learn greek although there were free lessons at the university. It is not an easy language, but if somebody is motivated they should learn it because it is a very interesting language
