My plan for 2 days in Stockholm
I will begin a story about the country of the Vikings, a Scandinavian country, with many interesting surprises about this Nordic country, the country I really want to live and work here.
A little love with Stockholm with the Swedes appeared against the fact that I only visited Stockholm for two days.
DAY 01
My plane, after three and a half hours flying from Barcelona, landed at Arlanda International Airport around 3pm. From the airport, in front of my eyes there are 3 ways to enter the city center:
- Arlanda Express, the train runs about 20 minutes, the ticket price for two people is 300 SEK (≈32 €), provided that you book first and non-refundable / non-bookable tickets.
- SJ train - this is the national railway company. Tickets are from 128 SEK / person / way (≈13. 5 €) from Arlanda C station to Stockholm C station.
- Flygbussarna Airport Coach, which is an airport bus, runs from the airport to the central station in about 40 minutes, fares from 99 SEK / person / way (≈10. 5 €) if you book online or book through the app.
Because there is no need to hurry, so I choose 3 - take the bus, just cheap, and take a nap on the car, actually this is because I was lucky to sit next to 2 Finnish people live in Sweden On the plane, they advised me so.
About 17 pm I arrived at the hotel, too may still check-in early. So I tried to cook some pasta in a shared kitchen and then I pulled the suitcase up to my room, and slept for 1 hour. As I was sleeping, I headed straight for the Old Quarter, heading straight to the Opera station. From the Opera station there are plenty of vacant seats (also bad luck, depending on the time of travel and depending on the time of day). But from Djurgården onwards it is crowded, like the student bus at my university in Vietnam. As far as I'm observing, many people take advantage of this car to get to the docks, then from there to Finland or some other Baltic country.
In Gamla Stan, if you travel on Tuesdays, you will be free to visit the Nobel Museum, from 17h - 20h.
I walk around in about 2 hours and then take pictures of things. To tell the truth, the Nobel Museum sounds very appealing, but it looks set against the many museums I visited in Europe, it does not look too special. However, the museum is very crowded, and in this you are doing some very good science experiments.
Out of the museum, you immediately see two houses painted in color - yellow and red on the right hand side. The yellow house is Chokladkoppen which is introduced in almost 100% of the Stockholm travel guidebooks. You can do a fika at the cafe for it... have the atmosphere, then take a picture check-in ha ha!
Take a fika
Surely some readers have heard the phrase fika, or if you can not then... read it now! Fika is short for coffee, coffee is served with pastries. Those who go to drink usually do not go alone, sitting meditated on the black glass without a photograph so deep that or go with friends, colleagues are happy and giggle.
You can go to Sweden anywhere, but in Stockholm you should go to the Chokladkoppen in Gamla Stan to drink it... there is air. Quan ho is the yellow house in the picture. Then I just walk around, I like the atmosphere in Stockholm, it shows the true, non-European, gentle, romantic that I still expect. Although Stockholm can not compare to Paris or Rome in terms of art or architecture, it is far better to secure immigrants.
Generally it is late at 9pm, but I visit Stockholm in the summer so it is very late, giving me more time to walk around the feel of the air here. I have visited places where the evening was obviously closed, however, to plan ahead for tomorrow's schedule.
DAY 2 - A very long day in Stockholm
Plan: Visit the Vasa Museum, the ABBA Museum (right next door), the Skansen Open Air Museum and the Tekniska Museet Technical Museum (free admission on Wednesdays, from 17h - 20h).
Stockholm Free Tour
Actually, in the morning of the second day in Stockholm, before visiting the museum of Vasa and ABBA museum, I had been very lucky to join a Stockholm Free Tour.
The girl who is free tour guide is amazing, her English was perfect. Moreover, the content and information about the places in Stockholm have been prepared very carefully.
Whenever we are told about the places or stories, she had photos and pictures with her to show us, making it easier for us to understand Thanks to the free tour, I have learned two very interesting about Stockholm Syndrome and Stockholm Cinderella. The free tour is just about 2 and a half hours so then I went to visit my planned places alone.
I stayed at the Vasa Museum for five hours, but still have not seen it! Experience is that you should go as soon as possible, 10h to where to buy tickets is just beautiful. About 10h15 will be guided tour guide free museum in English within 25 minutes, then free visitors.
It must be said that the battleship Vasa was the most impressive thing I ever saw! The wooden ship pictured in the 17th century, sank in its first voyage when it was... unloaded from the Stockholm port. The Vasa Warship is well repaired to 98%, looking like a normal working vessel and able to sail whenever it wants to!
(This is where I would like to add more details on the Vasa war, but think again... If so... best or best you come and admire it, and then you will see all forms Describe how boring and boring how compared to what you see firsthand! )
Abba Museum
I went to Abba for admiration for the group, a Swedish group but sang English and quite successfully in the world. People like my parents, especially my uncle, love ABBA.
This museum displays costumes and souvenirs that were exhibited at ABBA World from 2009-2011. Coming to the museum, I not only look at the pictures and artifacts that have made the success of the band that I enjoy, but also sing along to the songs that marked the name of ABBA band... After visiting this museum, I come back to walk along the park – national park of Stockholm, enjoying the life pace and nature.
With my backward-looking travel style, I had a peaceful and beautiful sunset, walking together under the leaves. I also enjoy panoramic views of Stockholm from one of the most beautiful views that are completely free. Then, I came back to the hostel, too my luggage then headed to the central station.
