Why did you choose to go to Setúbal, Portugal?

Because it was the closest city to the ocean.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

Would you recommend the city and the University of Setúbal to other students?

If you like calm places where you can get by walk almost everywhere (not to school from city, it takes 45 minutes) it is good city.

What is the food like?

Food is mostly about fishes. Their specialties are Choco frito and Bacalhau. There are also many sushi places. But there are some Indian and Thailand restaurants like Taifa. They don´t have a lot of to offer but i think it is very tasty food.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Setúbal?

Not really. I found it with help of AIPS. I think it is not hard to find accommodation. People are prepared for erasmus students.

How much does it cost to live in Setúbal?

For me it was 200 euros for a rent, then you need to eat. It depends on you if you go more often to restaurants or you cook. But at all just live here isn't so expensive.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, there is available Portuguese course. I know only basics to ask for something in shop and I had a course.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Setúbal from your city?

By plane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Setúbal?

First go drink to Champion bar and then you can choose from clubs which are very close to each other and very similar. In Karaoke bar is often many people because it is very small place and Design club starts party at 3a. m.. But there was no real party.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Setúbal?

You can eat whereever you want it would be good. But Taifa is different, you should try.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Setúbal in the future?

You should count with money for travelling to Lisbon for parties.
