Jose María's Erasmus Experience in Setúbal, Portugal

Why did you choose to go to Setúbal, Portugal?

Because the IPS has international modules, in which you can learn English. The city is close to Lisbon and you can visit the capital very easily, it has good beaches although without a car it is difficult to get to most of them. It has a natural park which you can also visit and many places to eat and drink outside.

Is there any advice you want to give to future students in Setúbal?

The parties which are organised by ESN and the ELL (Erasmus Life Lisboa) are a rip off, entry is free until 1:30/2:00am, but the drinks cost a fortune... 4€ shots... It is best to go out by yourself, although the trips they organise can be profitable.

Travel a lot around Lisbon, Cascáis, Belem and Óbidos... there are a thousand things to see.

Getting together with other Erasmus students is the best thing that you can do, it gives life to your day to day in Setúbal.
