Praza do Obradoiro

If you have already been to Spain you probably know spanish cities are all about Plazas, or squares in English. Most of them have a big one where the most important monuments in the city are - just like Plaza Mayor in Salamanca or Madrid. 

In Santiago de Compostela, the most important square is Praza do Obradoiro, where you'll see the city's Cathedral, Paço de Raxoi, which is the Mayor's Office, and Hostal dos Reis Católicos, another historic building. 

It is also a very central location that can be a starting point for a visit walking around the historic centre.
