One of the many prazas

Just behind the Cathedral of Salamanca you'll find Praza de la Quintana. Divided into Quintana de los Vivos (Alive's quintana) and Quintana de los Muertos (Dead's quintana), it's a square surrounded by catholics sites: the cathedral and San Paio Monastry.

From there you can see the main church from a different angle, seing the Berenguela Tower as well. It's a very welcoming place where musicians play music, kids play and old people go out for a walk.

There's a coffeeshop there where you can have some snacks (maybe even eat the typical Santiago's pie) while admiring the view.

If you're in Santiago de Compostela don't miss this place. It's a very central spot, easy to reach and nice to see.
