Hostal dos Reis Católicos
Fancy hotel that used to be a hospital
Located on the most important square in town, Praza do Obradoiro, the Hostal dos Reis Católicos, also known as Parador de Santiago, used to be a catholic hospital to people injured in the path to Saint James tomb, as well as a place to receive the peregrins.
Nowadays it is a fancy hotel for tourists (very well located) and the structure remains the same. The building has more than five hundred years old and it is stunning. It has scuplted details in rock. Very beautiful.
And even if you're not staying in the hotel I reccomend you to get inside the reception to see the interior. Really fancy. And I assume the rooms must be really nice too, with priviledge view to the city's Cathedral.
