What is it like to live in Rome? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Living in the eternal city is a beautiful experience. Getting to know the history behind the city which never dies is just thrilling and I'll definitely recommend it especially for people who find great beauty in historical structures.

What is the student lifestyle like in Rome?

Meeting different people from different cultures is always fun. Students in Rome are studious when it's needed and very entertaining when the right time comes.

How much does it cost to live in Rome?

About €500-600 per month when paying rent and buying other detailed items of your choice. However every individual has different taste and preferences.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Rome? Is there any advice you can give?

Accommodation in Rome can be a bit tiring especially from where I live, which is near the Vatican. It's better to find an apartment in groups so the cost would be easier to share rather than bearing the burden alone. Also finding accommodation close to your university would be a lot better. Then lastly make sure that everything you thing is necessary to you in the accommodation for the right price is important, like water, internet, washing machine etc all covered for so it's not an extra cost.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food in Rome is really good especially for a person like me who enjoys meat more than veggies. I like salami pizza, fried rice, cabonara, pasta with tomato sauce and lots and lots of meat(any kind).

Is it good to eat out in Rome? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It's good to eat at places that are not too costly and have good food. I don't have favorite spots I eat at because everywhere has great food but I'll recommend eating at any restaurant at Piazza Navona.

Is the nightlife good in Rome? Where is good to go?

The nightlife in Rome is great if you're not into just one kind off music but all. Be it reggaeton, dancehall, hip hop, r&b etc. I'll say going to "Circolo degli Illuminati" and "Akab" would be the best for clubbing then "Freni e frizioni" for aperitivo.

What advice would you give future students heading to Rome?

I'll say come with an open mind cause you'll never know what to expect. My experience here is not like I anticipated but it's been the best so far. Also, be sure to have good company so your time here would be great as well.
