Why did you choose to go to Rome, Italy?

I am a ballerina and Ballet history started in Rome,Italy. Rome has a lot of historical things to see and art galleries ,museums also. The city smells of history when you arrive Rome you immediately feel what I try to mean :))

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I have a scholarship from school but isn't enough because Rome is capital but not too much expensive as our country's capitals . My family support me to live.

What is the student lifestyle like in Rome?

There is Erasmus Student Network (ESN). They help Erasmus students and organises events;trips to other cities,parties, italian language nights,sports and meeting with new people from all around the world.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Rome to other students?

Yes,ofcourse. Rome is a really good choice for Erasmus. As an advice from me don't go Germany :)

What is the food like?

Typical Italian dishes are pasta and pizza. But they have ofcourse other dishes .

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Rome?

Yes , a bit. Because if you are doing an Erasmus in capital city . It's not that easy to find accomodation immediately. I stayed an apart hotel in Trastevere.

How much does it cost to live in Rome?

With rent in total around 750-800 euro.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Italian language isn't hard actually to learn is easier than English. I go to Sapienza University's Italian course. I took class for a month and now talking fluently :)

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Rome from your city?

Plane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Rome?

Ex dogana ,San Lorenzo (the best )

Tirabouchin, San Lorenzo
Lancelot, San Lorenzo
Trombetta,Policlinico

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Rome?

Formula 1 pizzeria, San Lorenzo
Momart cafe ,piazza bologna

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Ostia Antica
Vatican Museums
Forum imperiali
Piazza del popolo
Villa borghese

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Rome in the future?

If you are going to Rome for Erasmus learn before a bit Italian,it will be useful when you arrive and Rome isn't that expensive you think :)))
